Organza is primarily categorized by material into standard organza (chemical fiber organza) and silk organza. Standard organza is mainly woven from polyester, nylon, or blends of these fibers with rayon, whereas silk organza is woven from 100% mulberry silk and is considered a high-end silk-like fabric.
The key differences between the two are as follows: silk organza feels smooth and silky, is gentle against the skin without causing irritation, and possesses a soft luster, though it is expensive and prone to snagging; standard organza (chemical fiber) is stiffer and holds its shape well, and while it is more cost-effective, it may feel somewhat rougher and is less comfortable against the skin.
Additionally, through post-processing techniques such as crushing, flocking, foil stamping, and coating, products with unique visual effects and styles-such as crushed organza and flocked organza-can be created.
